Behind the Closed Door

If you have ever felt compelled to bid adieu to charmless mundanities of life and thus armed yourself with the courage to venture into the depths of rebellious Soho; you may well have visited 21 Romilly Street.

This address has been home to a hunchbacked, humble 90 year old man; who seems to magically pop up and regale with stories of the World War, and it has also been home to the well known Richard Corrigan's, Lindsay House. But before you get caught up in historical sentiment, this is not an epitaph. The location continues to sparkle and conceive yet even more memories, and so if you haven't already guessed it; in this building that has existed as a treasure over decades, now stands our beloved
'Gauthier Restaurant' .

Those of you who have visited the 3 story house I call home 5 days a week are probably well aware that in order to enter this establishment, you must ring the shiny golden doorbell!

And wait...

Now, whoever opens the door is all part of the mystery. Hence, that is why you must bring some courage. Luckily enough for you, though it may not be the night you meet the 'chic' receptionist (as she has been referred to amongst other names); you will be greeted by either the many sharp, respectful and almost shockingly young, front of house. The ambience from the moment the door opens, often leaves you feeling a hint of the  carnivalesque. From entrance to the exit more is always revealed when you think it has already reached it's climax.
